About this page. Casa Marlow isn't real. It's a demonstration Frogmade built to show the kind of site we design for independent hotels and guesthouses. The name, the photographs and every detail here are invented — there is no such place and no booking to make.

The house

An old sailors' house, brought back to life.

Casa Marlow sits on the last street before the port, in the Barrio de la Viña. It was built in the 1890s for a family of net-makers and spent most of the last century divided into flats. In 2021 it was put back together, room by room, keeping the tiled floors, the shutters and the narrow stair to the roof.

There are six rooms over three floors, and a roof terrace where breakfast is set out between eight and eleven — bread from the bakery on the corner, tomatoes, cheese, coffee, and the harbour spread out below. No restaurant, no bar, no front desk to speak of. Just a house you're handed the keys to.
